Abstract

The purpose of this Standard is to provide a standardized automation interface specification to be used for the equipment control in an assembly line for printed circuit board (PCB) that uses surface mount technology (SMT).

The purpose of this Standard is to provide an interface specification that replaces conventional electrical interface with a network connection and adds data communication capability.

The scope of this Standard is to define an automation interface specification to be used for SMT assembly line, which includes:

• A control interface between the host and equipment.

• A control interface between equipment via the adjacent equipment.

• A logistics control interface between adjacent equipment, which transfers a PCB and its data as a set.

The scope of this Standard is to define an automation interface specification that is based on SEMI A1 and SEMI A1.1.
