本ガイドは，global Liquid Chemicals Committeeで技術的に承認されている。現版はglobal Audits and Reviews Subcommitteeで2009年12月16日に発行が承認された。2010年2月にwww.semi.orgで入手可能となる。初版は1978年発行，前版は2005年7月発行。

 

液体化学薬品は半導体デバイスを製造する際に広範囲に使用されており，液体化学薬品の純度は製造過程においてデバイスの歩留まりに影響するものとして示される。

 

幅広い種類の半導体デバイスが製造されるため，異なったレベルの純度がそれぞれの液体化学薬品の標準やガイドラインとして規定されている。
