Conveyor Safety Awareness

Course Description 

Conveyors move materials quickly and efficiently, but they can be dangerous. People around them can suffer serious injuries, including amputations, without safe practices and controls. This course will teach people working around conveyors and their supervisor's basic safety guidelines. It will lay the foundation for the hands-on training employers will provide about specific equipment, hazards, controls, and practices at work locations.

Course Objectives  

• Know that different conveyors and materials present different hazards.
• Recognize the hazards associated with conveyors.
• Recall the safety controls and practices you must use to stay safe when working around conveyors.
