本スタンダードは，global Information & Control Committeeで技術的に承認されている。現版は2006年11月21日，global Audits and Reviews Subcommitteeにて発行が承認された。2007年2月にwww.semi.orgで，そして2007年3月にCD-ROMで入手可能となる。
E 本文書は2007年9月に，誤字を訂正するため，編集上の修正がなされた。変更箇所は，§6である。
本ガイド文書は，一連の装置データ取得（EDA）SEMIスタンダードに関して追加の情報を提供し，これら規格間の関係を説明し，EDA仕様の適切な適用を確実にするために実装の基本コンセプトを提示する。
