Abstract

* This Standard has the option to purchase the Current document with a redline document (Current + Redline). The redline document is included with the Current document as a comparison tool to help identify changes that have been made between the Current version and the previous version (Superseded). If differences should exist between the redline document and the Current document, the Current version is the official and authoritative version.

1  Purpose
1.1  This Specification specifies a framework for reporting cybersecurity status information about a computing device.
2  Scope
2.1  This Specification applies to any computing device (e.g., computer, Equipment Control System [ECS], programmable logic controllers [PLCs], etc.) that connects to the factory network and the equipment supplier provides as part of the manufacturing equipment.
2.2  Equipment supplier provided computing devices for the manufacturing equipment that are not connected to the factory network (e.g., connected to the manufacturing equipment’s internal network) are excluded from this Specification. Factory supplied computing devices (e.g., manufacturing execution system [MES], material control system [MCS], host systems, etc.) are excluded from this Specification.
