Course Description 

Injuries on and off the job represent a significant health problem. The outcome of injuries depends not only on the severity of the injury but also on the rendering of first-aid care. Prompt, adequately administered first aid care can mean the difference between life and death. This course will cover a variety of emergency scenarios and the appropriate first aid care.

 

Course Objectives 

  • Sudden illness (fainting, seizures, asthma attacks, heart attacks, diabetic emergencies, stroke, and severe allergic reactions).
  • Poisoning; Stings and bites.
  • Heat and cold-related illnesses.
