Curriculum Description
Workers in the construction industry face several health and safety hazards in their worksites every day, including exposure to materials that can cause serious illness and affect the health of a worker in the long term. This curriculum was designed to provide an awareness of the potential dangers of some common materials to which construction workers may be exposed. Ideal learners are all construction employees.
This curriculum consists of five online courses.

Curriculum Objectives
- Identify where asbestos may be present on construction sites.
- Recognize health hazards you may be exposed to at a construction site.
- Identify where crystalline silica may be present on construction sites.
- Know some basic ways to prevent or limit exposure to lead, crystalline silica, and asbestos.
