Explore this series of courses to learn about the history and concepts of lean manufacturing, including important milestones by Henry Ford, Taiichi Ohno, and Shigeo Shingo. These courses will enable you to list of principles of workplace organization and identify the 5S methods to achieve it. You will be able to apply the concept of Sort to declutter work areas, explain the use of Straighten to reduce wasted efforts and apply the concept of Shine to maintain order through cleanliness, and explain how the concept of Standardize is applied to Sort, Straighten, and Shine. You will also learn how the concept of Sustain can be executed to maintain the 5S Standards. There are eight courses in this series.
