PFAS Chemical Management

Course Description 

Have you heard news reports about "forever chemicals" in our drinking water? Forever chemicals is a common name for per- and poly-fluoroalkyl substances, or PFAS. Take this course to learn what they are, why we should care about them, and what facilities must do about them.  

Course Objectives  

• Define and recognize PFAS
• Recall how they impact people, the environment and businesses
• Recall how to use toxics release inventories, or TRIs to identify and report PFAS to regulators
• Identify the methods and challenges of treating and managing PFAS

Managers, supervisors, engineers, technicians, or any individual working at facilities identified by regulator as sources of PFAS
