Description

Covers the strategies, tools, and materials used to create effective engineering prototypes quickly and efficiently. Learners gain hands-on knowledge of the full rapid prototyping workflow-from the design concept and engineering drawings to the integration of electronics and the use of CNC machines, 3D printers, and traditional tools.

Emphasis is placed on selecting the right materials and fabrication techniques based on the specific needs of a prototype, as well as using CAD tools and microcontrollers to extend prototype functionality. The approach is practical and project-based , giving learners the confidence to bring ideas to life across industries like robotics, product design, and manufacturing.

Upon successful completion, learners will earn a certificate of completion from Arizona State University.

Curriculum Duration
