本基準係在針對半導體產業使用的生產設備提供以設計為主的整套電氣安全考量。

符合本文件規定之設計、建構與設計原則或其他可用的電氣安全標準需求，便可符合基本的產品安全考量。

範圍

本安全基準適用於半導體製造設備。

本安全基準所含之考量可用於設計預防電氣及非電氣危險的電氣安全連鎖，以及預防電氣危險的非電氣連鎖。

除第3節「限制」中所排除的設備外，本文件的電氣設計考量適用於所有用來製造、測量、組裝及測試半導體產品的設備。

本安全基準適用於以危險性電壓或危險性電力發動的設備。
