Abstract
本安全ガイドラインは，global Environmental Health & Safety Committeeで技術的に承認されている。現版は2011年9月12日，global Audits and Reviews Subcommitteeにて発行が承認された。2011年10月にwww.semiviews.orgおよび www.semi.orgで入手可能となる。
本安全ガイドラインは，半導体製造装置（SME）への統合が意図されたロードポートおよびウェーハハンドリングロボットに関する，一連の性能および設計安全基準を提供する。
本安全ガイドラインは，SEMI S2の一般的範囲を超えたロードポートおよびウェーハハンドリングロボットの製造業者に対して追加のガイダンスを提供する。
本安全ガイドラインでは，SMEへの統合が意図されたロードポートおよびウェーハハンドリングロボットにとって本質的な安全性の問題のうち，産業用ロボットに適用される他の安全ガイドラインおよびスタンダードで扱われていないかもしれない問題を扱う。
