Sensors: Measurement Concepts

Course Description

The Sensors Measurement Concepts course is designed to provide learners in the sensor industry, including original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), salespeople, distributors, suppliers, and any other interested individuals with a basic understanding of the concepts associated with sensor measurements. Learners are introduced to the different sensor families, sensor categories, and measured attributes through helpful animations and interactives.

• Identify the differences between self-generating and passive sensors.

• Recall the various types of self-generating and passive sensors.

• Recognize the difference between embedded, process control, and product validation sensors.

• Explain why attributes are measured during sensor measurements.
